We have done a complete facelift to KansaiConnect, gutted it from top to bottom for many reasons; mainly to make navigation and use of the site faster, easier and better.
Japan and America had it out on the softball field in Bejing! And what a game it was. Actually, the entire series of games both America and Japan played were downright fun to watch as a spectator. Both pitchers were on target and pitched tremendously! Hats off to both teams.
Japan, however, won the gold medal game today in regulation innings, unlike their previous one which went into extra innings.
Last night, after a bbq with friends, we went outside to shoot off some fireworks. About two weeks ago, a student of mine dropped by and gave us a huge supply of fireworks she had, but wasn't going to use, about three hours worth of fireworks!
Taking the Japanese Driver's License test in Kyoto isn't as bad as many have made it out to be, although I have been told it is the most difficult center to pass the test. Still, it is a bit hectic preparing, getting paperwork translated (if you are translating a license from another country) and filling out paperwork. It is a time-consuming process and test day isn't any better, especially if you have to take the drivering test multiple times.
Since Monday, heavy rain and lightning have been hitting Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto areas causing flash flooding, power outages and many other problems.
